Child and Family Translational Research Center

We conduct applied research focused on understanding the nature of problems children and families face in today's world and identifying the most effective ways to help them.

Center for Perception and Communication in Children

Boys Town established the Center for Perception and Communication in Children (CPCC) in 2014 with support from a Centers for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) grant. Ultimately our goal is​ to be the national leader for research on speech, language, hearing, and cognitive development in children with communication disorders.

Center for Childhood Deafness, Language and Learning

The Center for Childhood Deafness, Language & Learning at Boys Town National Research Hospital is internationally recognized as a center of excellence for applied research, early education and clinical services for children ​who are deaf or hard of hearing and children with developmental language disorder. The Center is comprised of language and learning researchers, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, deaf educators, art and music therapists, counselors, parent infant specialists, outreach specialists and sign language evaluators.

Center for Pediatric Brain Health

The Center for Pediatric Brain Health is an NIH Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) in Omaha, Nebraska with a focus on pediatric neuroscience, developmental neuroimaging, and brain health. Our primary objectives are to advance developmental neuroscience, expand pediatric neuroimaging research, promote brain health across the region and the world, and broadly enhance the research infrastructure at BTNRH.

Institute for Human Neuroscience

The Institute for Human Neuroscience at Boys Town National Research Hospital is revolutionizing child and adolescent brain research. Located on Boys Town campus in Omaha, Nebraska, it is one of the most cutting-edge neuroscience research facilities in the nation and the only site in the world with two next-generation MEG (magnetoencephalography) systems. The Institute for Human Neuroscience is home to the Center for Pediatric Brain Health, an NIH Center for Biomedical Research Excellence which focuses on advancing and expanding pediatric neuroimaging research.
