We study auditory and speech perception by adults and children with normal hearing, hearing loss and cochlear implants. New studies are focusing on mechanisms underlying adult cochlear implant listeners’ and normally hearing listeners’ sensitivity to emotional prosody, particularly on aging effects on emotion perception. In children, new studies are focusing on the link between their perception and production of emotional prosody.
