​​Early Language and Literacy Acquisition in Children with Hearing Loss

The purpose of the ELLA study is to identify early predictors of difficulties with reading and writing for children who are deaf and hard of hearing. We currently focus on prescho​ol oral language, phonological processing, and print knowledge, as well as audiologic characteristics, as predictors of elementary school reading and writing.
